It has greatly improved the accuracy of our stats while reducing the time spent (both collecting data and getting reports). The program is very easy to install with step-by-step instructions making the process of downloading to the Palm Pilot very simple. Now instead of dragging around pieces of paper to take basic stats of the game on, we use the Digital Scout program and take a more accurate and detailed statistical analysis of the games' events. This has helped us in identifying which players won and lost the most tackles, made good and bad passes, won or lost balls in the air, and balls lost and won by players. One of the best individual features of the Digital Scout program is the ability to record the individual player's shot chart, as well as the team's, for up to 18 players. This has helped us look back after the game is over and review where the shots were taken by each player and where most of our shots came from. Our Men's and Women's soccer programs now have the capability with the Digital Scout program to learn from the statistics taken from the game, rather than just knowing who won the game.
