Nike® chooses Digital Scout® statistics software
for 2004 Invitational Peach Jam
COLUMBUS, OH (August 5, 2004)

While the top boys high school basketball players in the country displayed their
talent at the prestigious 2004 Nike Invitational Peach Jam July 14-17 in North
Augusta, South Carolina, new technology from Digital Scout delivered instant
performance statistics and leaders to the attending coaches and players.
Version 4.0 of Digital Scout's StatwareTM statistics, includes a powerful
Tournament Statistics Manager that Nike was quick to utilize. The software will
be officially released August 16, 2004.
Statware enables the recording of statistics on a handheld or laptop computer
at the game for instant statistics and analysis or on a PC after the game using
the software's Quick Entry feature. Statware automatically calculates team and
individual player statistics on key items such as shots (two- and three-pointers
as well as free throws), assists, offensive and defensive rebounds, fouls, and
steals. Onscreen analysis and shot charts allow the user to see
player tendencies. Numerous reports for all teams and players can be printed
with the push of a button. The reports are used as coaching tools, to improve
game strategy, and to export to a Web site or the media.
